5. Fished all night = nothing “Do you have any food to eat?” v. 5 “Cast your net on right side” v. 6

7.  Caught 153 Fish  Net was not broken  Jesus provided food Jn. 21:13 “Jesus then came and took the bread and gave it to them, and likewise the fish.”

8. Keystone of Christianity If Christ not raised… - Still in our sins - No power over death “If a man die, shall he live again?” Job 14:14

9.  Apostles had failed…fishing on the wrong side of boat  We are to be fishers of men  Acts 8:4 “everywhere preaching the Word”  Be careful not to fish on the wrong side!

10. Fish were where the responsive souls are:  “Cast not your pearls before swine” Matt.7:6  Rich - may not be best  Common people “And the common people heard Him gladly.” Mk. 12:37

11. Fish with the Proper Bait  No substitutes - Psychology, Philosophy, Sociology - Social Gospel  Distinctive Plea  Fail to contrast truth with error Rom. 1:16 “gospel” “power of God unto salvation”

12.  Breakfast for apostles  Will provide for us ----- Matt. 6:25-34 - do not worry - feeds birds “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” v. 33

13. Miraculous catch of fish…. - Beginning of His ministry - Lk. 5 - After His resurrection - Jn. 21 Jesus Taught Peter that… - His fishing days were over - If you love Me, then feed the flock Peter preached the first sermon – Acts 2 Became a great fisher of men

14. Before He ascended to heaven…. “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth” Matt. 28:18 - Miracles prove His power on earth - Power of Gospel today to save men

15. “He has done all things well” Mk. 7:37
