3 NOW Late Summer 2015 - Summer 2016 After Lodge Jct Improvements Phase One: Park Prewett Road Improvements Delivered by Taylor Wimpey Improvements to existing highway surface and traffic management measures along Park Prewett Road in Rooksdown (Currently a private road) Hampshire County Council adoption of Park Prewett Road upon completion of Taylor Wimpey works under a Section 38 agreement. Phase Two: A340 Aldermaston Road and Junction Improvements To be delivered by Hampshire County Council Extend dualling of the A340 Aldermaston Road 320m North from the Priestley Road junction Increase capacity and install traffic signals at the ‘Lodge’ junction Increase capacity at the existing Priestley Road junction with the A340; improving access to Merton Rise & reducing queue lengths. Close the existing Priestley Road / Park Prewett Road junction to traffic to improve safety (under a Traffic Regulation Order – TRO) Improve pedestrian and cycle route and crossing facilities Phase Three: North Hants Health Services Accessibility To be delivered by Taylor Wimpey Improve access and egress arrangements between the North Hampshire Health Services and the A340 Allow all pedestrians and cyclists to move freely between the Hospital and Rooksdown Improve traffic arrangements in the Rooksdown community A340 Aldermaston Road Improvements – 2015/16 Scheme Timeline
