Bringing venous hemodynamic testing to you. Understanding venous physiology Pneumatic Venous Plethysmography

Obstruction Incompetence Function Bilateral venous physiological study Obstruction, Incompetence, Exercise in less than 5-10 minutes Bilateral venous physiological study Obstruction, Incompetence, Exercise in less than 5-10 minutes

VenView System Advantages Comprehensive plethysmographic evaluation for venous obstruction, incompetence, and calf ejection fraction. Complete bilateral evaluation time < 20 minutes. –5 minutes explanation and pre-test set-up, –5-10 minutes for bilateral obstruction, incompetence, and calf ejection studies collectively, –5 minute post test removal and print report Once patient and cuffs are positioned- the testing is “Hands-Off”, simply follow computer prompts. Detailed hemodynamic values, tracings, and graphs are displayed on two page report. Examination chair can also be configured as bed. Unobstructed access to the popliteal area.

About VenView VenView is a non-invasive pneumatic venous plethysmography device. The VenView system provides accurate quantitative studies due to a flow meter that measures air placed inside sensing cuff. With a limb circumference measurement and automated measured sensing cuff volumes, the VenView system is able to calculate volume/pressure relationships. Volume measurements are reported as ml/100ml (individual leg volume correction)

IndicationsIndications Venous disease such as venous thrombosis, venous incompetence (deep, superficial, perforator) and poor venous calf ejection fraction may present as varicose veins, edema, stasis, and ulceration of the lower extremities. Deep venous thrombosis:outflow study Venous incompetence:dependent refill study Venous calf ejection fraction:exercise refill study VenView specifically addresses each parameter of venous disease:

Deep venous thrombosis:outflow study Venous incompetence:dependent refill study Venous calf ejection fraction:exercise refill study VenView specifically addresses each parameter of venous disease: Outflow Dependent Refill Exercise Function

Sensing cuffs Sensing cuffs are inflated with air to 6 – 7 mmHg The amount of air is measured as it inflates the cuff which provides a pressure/volume relationship to base calculations Method: Sensing cuff inflation

60 mmHg (looking for limited outflow / obstruction) Outflow- phase one baseline cuff volume next slide

60 mmHg Release Max V Ex V Expelled V V Max V V > 77% Normal Outflow 4 sec Outflow- phase two next slide

60 mmHg Release Max V Ex V Expelled V V Max V V < 77% Abnormal Outflow 4 sec Normal Outflow > 77% Outflow- phase two next slide

Two page report Contains values, plethysmographic tracing, and summary graph for all three studies –Outflow –Dependent venous filling –Exercise refilling Summary Report

Individual detailed report page that contains values, plethysmography tracing, and summary graph for all three studies –Outflow –Dependent venous filling –Exercise refilling Outflow Dependent Filling Exercise Individual Detailed Reports

Entire study tracing that contains: –Outflow –dependent refill –Exercise refilling Printable in color and black and white FullTracingFullTracing Normal Study Abnormal Study

Examination chair can also be configured as bed. Unobstructed access to the popliteal area for examination or duplex scanning. Additional Chair Features
