2. Chapter 6 George goes to the dentist
He becomes interested in dentistry

3. Chapter 7 Sampson sees his friend Razor die.
He was tricked into shoplifting by his friend Eddie.

4. Chapter 8 George and Sampson meet for the first time.
They are taking a test to get in the University of High School.
Sampson has concerns about attending the school, in fear he will not be top of the class but at the same time wants to have the educational opportunities as other children do.
Sampson’s grade are good, however he does not admit it to the other students.

5. Chapter 9 Rameck – 9th grade
George and Sampson meet Rameck for the first time.
They acknowledge Rameck’s performance at the play.
Rameck misses his old friends.
Gets in a fight with Arlington boys
Gets shot at
Realized he is struggling in life.

6. Chapter 10 Sampson – 9th grader Goes to Harlem for drugs and money
Finally understands the wrong path he is traveling.
He wants to change.
