1 Delete Provided and Registered Document Set – Transaction Proposal

2 Problem Presented Right now its not possible to: Delete through the Document Repository documents from the Document Repository And Or RegistryObjects (e.g.: DocumentEntries, Associations etc.) from the Documents Registry.

3 Proposed Solution Add new transaction which will allow clients (e.g. Document Administrators) provide the Repository with a deletion list. In case the repository will recognize that the deletion list contains items to be deleted by the Registry it will generate ITI-62 (“Delete Document Set”) transaction to the Registry. After successful reply from the Registry the Repository will delete its own documents and will reply success to the requesting client. The new transaction proposed name “Delete Provided and Registered Document Set” The proposed transaction name for this presentation purpose is ITI-6X

4 Deletion List Description 1 The deletion List can contain items to be deleted by the Document Repository and or the Documents Registry Items to be deleted by the Document Repository will be provided in the URN OID format and will represent the Document UID Items to be deleted by the Document Registry will be provided in the UUID format.

6 Deletion Request Structure Based on ebRim RemoveObjectsRequest schema ObjectRefs in the UUID format will represent Document Registry RegistryObjects ObjectRefs in the OID URN format will represent Document Repository Documents

7 Deletion Request Example 1 [ITI-6X] -> Deletion request from Document Administrator to the Document Repository Delete ExtrinsicObjec1 and Association1 from Registry and 1 Document from the Repository: [ITI-62] ->Deletion Request from the Document Repository to the Document Registry: Delete ExtrinsicObjec1 and Association1 from Registry :

8 Deletion Request Example 2 [ITI-6X] -> Deletion request from Document Administrator to the Document Repository Delete 2 Documents from the Repository: Since there is no RegistryObjects to delete from the Document Registry the Document Repository will not generate [ITI-62] deletion request to the Document Registry!
