7 Perimeter of a Square Is the measurement around the square and it has four equal sides. The formula is “P=4s”

8 Example 1 Find the perimeter of the square with the side of 225m.
Solution: P= 4s ; where s=225m = 4(225m) [by substitution] = 900m

9 Example 2 Find the perimeter of the square with the side of 5/2 cm.

s= 30 units s= 25.3 mm Find the side of the square given the perimeter: P= cm P= 99 m
