The Department Achieved the status as one of the top departments in Europe in less than 50 years. Aim to be the best by 2020. Our department is made up of: 1200 Undergraduates 200 MSc students 70 PhD students 65 Full-time academic staff - top class teachers and researchers from all around the globe.

What is Economics at Warwick? A way of thinking – not a set of rules or laws Learning how to think like an Economist Learning technical skills (logical reasoning, data analysis, econometrics, game theory) Economics as a “Social Science” Then apply your learning anywhere.

Our Undergraduate Degrees BSc Economics BSc Economics and Industrial Organisation BSc Economics, Politics and International Studies Economics is also involved in BSc Maths and Economics and BSc/BA Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE).

Teaching and Learning 3 year degrees Cutting edge curriculum taught by world leading academic staff Teaching includes lectures and seminar groups (mixture of large and small group teaching) Assessment is by exams, tests, assignments and the 3 rd year RAE project Regular access to personal tutors.

Other Degrees Economics and Industrial Organisation Students take modules in Finance and Industrial Economics Economics, Politics and International Studies In year two, student select to major in Economics or Politics Modules include Politics and International Relations modules in each year.

Admissions Extremely competitive Over 3000 applications, 50% overseas and 50% Home/EU. Approximately 200 UK/EU students confirmed per year. We attract the brightest students in the world Students should show: Superb academic achievements Superb motivation (personal statement and reference) Commitment to Maths (Maths A level or equivalent).

Typical Offers A levels - A*AA plus a 4 th subject (A at AS, B at A level) including Maths A level IB score 38 including grade 6 in Higher Level Maths IELTS 7.0 (min 6.5 in each component) or equivalent Preference for strong analytical subjects or essay based subjects. Try to avoid strong overlap if doing A levels such as Business Studies and Economics).

Where do our Graduates go? Warwick graduates are the most targeted by employers (High Fliers research 2013) Our graduates go on to great things in financial-sector jobs in government services in social-service NGOs in graduate school and as entrepreneurs.
