Grade 11s choosing their Grade 12 courses for September 2015 “When you establish a destination by defining what you want, then take physical action by making choices that move you towards that destination, the possibility for success is limitless and arrival at the destination is inevitable.” ― Steve Maraboli Good morning Grade 11’s! The time has come to pick your classes for your last year of high school! Are you ready? I’ll take about 30 mins tops to give you some guiding tips on doing this and then you will go to your classes to receive your course selection sheet with the list of classes to choose from. You will have 2 weeks to make your choices and this is done online. Anyone know the one course you all have to take no ifs ands or buts? English

Accessing the BYOD Website
From the Internet Homepage Click “BYOD PAGE” Most of you may have already had a chance to set up and start using your BYOD professional account. If you have not had the opportunity to set up this account please do so as soon as possible. You can access this account right when you first log in to the computer.

BYOD Website (New User Step 2)
1. Next, set the time zone by clicking the drop down menu and selecting Eastern Time. In order to set up your outlook professional BYOD account you will need to select English (US) and select the Eastern Time Zone (US and Canada) and click Save. It is that simple to set up your account. You can now ready to use your new account. 2. Then click ‘save’.

It is crucial for you to set up and access your BYOD . This professional address will be used to access My Blueprint. It is crucial that you set up this account as this will be the professional YOU will be using to select YOUR courses on MYBLUEPRINT. How to Login to My Blueprint?
Go to Already have an account? Login here using address Be sure to record the address and password. New user? Login here. Select ‘David Suzuki S.S.’ from the drop-down menu, then click ‘Create Account’. If a New user BE SURE to have your OEN # (9 digit # found on your Student Card, Report Card or Status Sheet)

Choosing Your Courses Make realistic and well informed choices (ability, post secondary plans) Ensure you are considering the requirements for Post Secondary Programs of interest as well as OSSD Requirements. Research Research Research! – Courses needed, Supplementary Applications, Work experience, Volunteer Refer to Course Selection Handout for a list of useful Website to assist with Post Secondary planning.

Timetable Changes Impossible or difficult to change courses once you start school. Timetable is built based on YOUR choices! Change of mind about optional courses WILL NOT be considered in September! Be certain about courses you are choosing! Be sure to review OSSD and Post-secondary requirements.

Summer School Information
It is student responsibility & it FILLS up quickly! Attend summer school to do make-up credits (compulsory courses) 40% or higher in a course, 2 week summer school make-up Below 40%, full month summer course Summer coop is a great option to earn 2 credits in the summer! Summer school information – Available in early April
