Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.

Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias; so he was added to the eleven apostles.

All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit enabled them.

Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!

Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property.

It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables.

While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!”

Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet.

Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?

Then a voice told him, “Rise, Peter! Kill and eat!”

Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch.

He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. “Quick, get up!” he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists.

Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.

On the Sabbath day they [Paul and Barnabas] entered the synagogue and sat down. After the reading from the Law and the Prophets, the synagogue rulers sent word to them, saying, “Brothers, if you have a word of encouragement for the people, please speak.”

Some men came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved.”

Come over to Macedonia and help us.

Men of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious.

A number who had practiced sorcery brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly.

Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!

Now I know that none of you among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom will ever see me again.
