EACH 15 minutes of reading counts as 1 Step on a Reading Log.
2 Lines or 2 STEPS Should be Filled Out Nightly
If the child reads 6 books in 15 minutes, he only writes down ONE title (favorite). Do this twice each night.

When children read books that are easy, they read ideas, not just words.
Be sure the students are reading books in which they laugh at the funny parts and can read them with fluency and expression (like they would talk).
The children should be relaxed and having fun while reading.

ALL STUDENTS WILL BE CELEBRATED EVERY TIME THEY REACH 100 STEPS! How many STEPS will your child achieve this year?!?!
