2 “O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may acquire Taqwa.“ (2:183) يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَىالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ

3 1. FAST ACCORDING TO SUNNAH Suhr and Iftaar Productive time usage Stay away from sinning TAQWA

4 2.RECITATION OF QURAN The month in which the Quran was revealed GOAL: Finish the Quran at least once 4-5 pages after every Salah TAQWA

5 3. CHARITY The Prophet ﷺ would increase in acts of charity during Ramadan Masjid example The Prophet ﷺ said, “The most beloved of deeds to Allah are those that are most consistent, even if it is small”. [Collected by Bukhaari and Muslim] TAQWA

6 4.GENEROSITY The Prophet ﷺ would increase in acts of generosity As well Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet ﷺ, said, “Generosity is near to Allah, near to Paradise, near to the people, and far from the Hellfire. Miserliness is far from Allah, far from Paradise, far from the people, and near to the Hellfire. An ignorant generous person is more beloved to Allah the Exalted than a stingy scholar.” Source: Sunan At-Tirmidhi 1961 “Protect yourselves from the Fire even if it is with half a date.” [Al-Bukhaari] TAQWA

Do deeds beloved to Allah Abu Hurayrah reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every action a son of Adam does shall be multiplied—a good action by ten times its value, up to 700 times. Allah says: With the exception of fasting, which belongs to Me, and I reward it accordingly. For, one abandons his desire and food for My sake. There are two occasions of joy for a fasting person: one when he breaks his fast, and the other when he meets his Lord, and the (bad) breath (of a fasting person) is better in the sight of Allah than the fragrance of musk. (Al-Bukhari) TAQWA

8 The Prophet ﷺ said: “The most beloved places to Allah are the masaajid, and the most hated places to Allah are the marketplaces”. [Collected by Muslim] The Prophet ﷺ said: “The most beloved of speech to me is that which is most truthful”. [Collected by Bukhaari] “The most beloved of speech to Allah is for a servant to say; Sub’haana Allah wa bi hamdi’hi”. [Collected by Muslim]. The Prophet ﷺ said, “The most beloved of deeds to Allah are: the salat in its proper time, goodness to the parents, and striving in the way of Allah”. [Collected by Bukhaari and Muslim] TAQWA

9 6. DHIKR “Verily, in the creation of heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding. Those who remember Allah standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and think deeply about the creation of heavens and the earth, (saying): ‘Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You. Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire.” (4:190-191) The Prophet ﷺ said: “The most beloved of deeds to Allah is to die while your tongue is moistened with the remembrance of Allah”. [Collected by Tabaraani] TAQWA

THE LAST TEN NIGHTS Narrated Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) that the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Whoever observed Saum (fast) in the month of Ramadhan with sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his past sins will be forgiven, and whoever stood for the Salat (prayers) in the night of Qadr with sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his past sins will be forgiven.” [#2014 Sahih Bukhari] Better the 1000 nights (83 years) TAQWA

11 8.SEEK FORGIVENESS Aisha [may Allah be pleased with her] was asked what the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ supplicated during the last ten days of Ramadan. She replied: f اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي 'O Allah, you are the Forgiver, You love to forgive, so forgive me.' TAQWA

12 9. WORK ON OUR CHARACTER The Prophet ﷺ said: “The most beloved servant to Allah is he who has the best character”. [Collected by Tabaraani] Akhlaaq- Kha laam Qaaf Smoothness/measure something HONEST HARD WORKING HELPFUL GRATEUL LOYAL MOTIVATED RESPECTFUL MODEST HUMBLE DILIGENT TAQWA

13 10.INCREAESE IN دُعَاء "Dua is the essence of Ibadah (worship)." [at Tirmdhi, Ahmad] "Ask forgiveness for your sin and also for the believing men and women" [Surah 47:19] "Abu Darda' (RadiAllahu anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah, SalAllahu alayhi wasalam, said, "The supplication of a Muslim for his (Muslim) brother in his absence will certainly be answered. Everytime he makes a supplication for good for his brother, the angel appointed for this particular task says: `A meen! May it be for you, too." [Muslim, 1495] TAQWA

14 LET’S TAKE ADVANTAGE INSHA’ALLAH When Ramadan enters, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hellfire are closed and the devils are chained. (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
