13 Governor Inslee’s Legislative Affairs and Policy Office A GING » Rate increases for: ›Assisted living providers ($3.6M GF-S; $4.6M GF-F) ›Supported living providers ($10.3M GF-S; $10.3M GF-F) ›Area agencies on aging community support services ($5.2M GF-S; $5.2M GF-F) ›Restoring agency provider rate cut ($1.6M GF-S; $2.0M GF-F) » Investments in Pre-Medicaid services ($19.1M GF-S) − Expands services that delay or divert individuals from entering more expensive Medicaid long-term care system. Addresses needs of aging population who need community-based supports such as unpaid family caregiver support and behavioral health and memory care. » Adult Protective Services ($1.5M GF-S; $274,000 GF-F) − Hires staff to ensure in-home investigations that protect vulnerable adults are completed in 90 days. Complexity and time spent investigating each case have increased. Financial exploitation cases now represent nearly 1/3 and self-neglect cases account for ¼ of all cases. » Rekhter lawsuit court decision − Restores provider direct care add-on ($87.8M in supplemental budget)
