2 Wind generation competition 502 project focus is on electrical generator, power conditioning electronics, and control system. Will build on existing and proven lightweight, transportable wind turbine developed by ME and AE teams.

4 Test load Competition required testing with system attached to 5-V, 25-A load as configured below.

5 2015 competition in April/May The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) invite you, as one of the inaugural 10 institutions with participating teams, to compete in the U.S. Department of Energy Collegiate Wind Competition 2015, a non- public technical event at the National Wind Technology Center (NWTC) in Boulder, Colorado, April 29 – May 1, 2015
