In Poland many people belong to the Roman Catholic Church which is part of the Christian religion. Easter is a very important celebration. People remember that Jesus died on the cross on Good Friday but came to life again on Easter Sunday. Easter baskets contain symbols of Easter. On Easter Sunday special food is prepared and eaten.

On Palm Sunday people take the palms to church. Palm Sunday is the week before Easter.
