2 Objectives Discuss identification and quarantine procedures for carriers of animal diseases Discuss identification and disposal procedures for carriers of animal diseases Describe roles of agencies in the county, state and federal government for implementing regulatory eradication programs against animal diseases

3 Quarantine Isolation of animals infected with and exposed to contagious diseases Purpose Prevent spread of disease to susceptible animals Eradication Termination of all transmission of infections by extermination of the infectious agent through surveillance and containment
