365 Days/Plays... The basic virtual elements are abstract and mutable and represent enities (animal/human/intensional etc) – the yellow and blue objects on the black screen and plants (willows/ scrub grass etc) – the green elements on the grey screen C M

Make me a willow cabin... Scene one – Major (right screen) looks through tracked glasses, scans – moves glasses on/off face so we know they effect image. The green plant elements flutter slightly.. Hands binocs to Captain. Reddish spot (sun?) moves across and out of view. The left screen is still.and the two women in front of it are still. The tracking glasses sit on a stand. C M C M

M Make me a willow cabin... cont'd Scene two – Focus on left screen. While the glasses rest on stand – the image looks 2D, tapestry-like. After “Your sewing” the woman takes up the glasses, the 2D symmetry is broken, the animal elements, here “slaves,” move into 3D space and prepare to imitate her gestures... The “slaves” copy the tracked sow/sewing gestures of the woman. They sing/groan? As they sew/sow, red spots grow beneath them. The spots flow across to the right screen and collect at the bases of the green plants which start to grow (into “willows”), absorbing the red. The willows also move, not perfectly mimicking the woman's gestures but somehow effected by them. On the right the Captain watches, then hands binocs back to Major, who watches. C

Make me a willow cabin... cont'd Scene Three On the left screen – the slaves hang down exhausted/dead/hanged. They swing gently to the woman's sewing. The willows also droop and weep. A new animal element forms, a red head with black extremities, and hangs from a willow. The willows also sway gently to her sewing. At the end of the scene the Major gives the “bonocs” to the Captain. C M

Scene1 Tundra Scene One – the willows straighten and move to woman's (left) side, on man's (right) side there is a yellow head and a red spot which is now the scene/game counter. As the woman knits, the willows, now wool, shrink. Forest is turning into Tundra. The small green elements turn side-ways & move onto the man's screen. The man starts to play – he moves his yellow head avatar and drops bombs on the green elements – the counter updates as he works.

Scene 5 Tundra cont'd Scene Five – woman stretches – we see that the entity elements are proliferating behind the wool.. The man continues to play more quickly as more green elements appear on his screen.

Tundra cont'd Scene 86 – the man continues to play, his screen is more chaotic. On the woman's screen, the entity elements (used to be the hanged man, and are now the military police) are emerging. They cross over to the man's screen. When they arrive all the green elements flee. They attack the yellow avatar of the man – strangling, squashing, tearing. The man is very tense, struggling with his controller. The woman is appalled – she rises and gestures – on her screen the small green elements “shriek” upwards, but cannot stop the military police rushing to the other screen. On the man's screen the green elements appear at the edges but do not really enter. The military police drag the yellow avatar out. The man puts his glasses on the stand and lies down. Scene 86

Scene 2120 Tundra cont'd Scene 2120 – the woman friend enters and starts playing the game. The woman continues to knit. As the score increases, she covers the man with her knitting. She knits more slowly. The woman friend kills green elements more quickly until she reaches the 2120 score. One entity is back on the woman's screen. As the woman friend describes the hussy, the entity becomes the hussy, goes onto the woman friend's screen and seduces the yellow avatar. But the woman friend continue her bombing. The first woman repeats her rescuing gesture. The other woman shakes her controller when the “shriek” effects the green elements on her screen,

Kills 2120 Some thoughts using these elements in Other Plays Giant step - Woman on box..Entities as people milling about, plants as environment. Some plants respond to the step, but there is no apprarent “avatar” of the woman. Diva – Actor on box on stage, glasses on stand – she does not effect the images – she has no avatar. Entities from giant step crane to see her, or someone else. Trees grow and wave and bear red fruit. Entities and trees somehow fuse? Dev of Tourism – Entites are the tourist, but Herbert and his mother should have avatars in the scene, Herbert's avatar constantly changes in size as he gets more or less attention, or as his mother criticizes. Herbert on box. Somehow Herbet and mother seeing something different. On Mother's screen Herbert is always small. Possum – again possibly some kind of game element? - hunter kills in game fashion.
