3 Operating Model SLAC is responsible for doing the work Stanford University is responsible for overseeing and assuring to DOE that SLAC is conducting its work and operations at the laboratory as promised SSO is responsible for ensuring that all work performed in accordance with the contract SLAC, SU, and SSO are responsible for working together to continually improve the operations of the laboratory in support of our mission

4 Enable safe work environment through essential institutional services including: –ES&H Training –Fire Protection, Security, Emergency Services –Occupational Medical Services –Design Reviews –Construction Safety –Environmental Protection and Restoration –Waste Minimization and Pollution Prevention –Industrial Hygiene –Radiation Safety –Hazardous and Radioactive Waste Management –Chemical Management Services Mission of ES&H Division October 20084
