17 Content Types Think of them as “Tables” in an RDBMS Contains a number of site columns that make up the data/page content In case of a Publishing site, you need to start from a base content type of Page or Article Page Add your own site columns as you wish

18 Page Layouts This defines how your Content Type is presented to the visitor You can have multiple page layouts for each content type SharePoint allows you to switch page layouts on the fly Combines with a master page and data in the content type to display a page
