2 Why focus on Clinical Research? Which scientific discoveries will benefit human health, and be safe? Compare current approaches to new ones, and produce evidence as to “best practice” Provide new directions for basic scientific study

Is there graduated support, dependant upon ‘maturity’ of the Unit, as in the categories of Institute membership? What incentives could there be to promote clinical research activity, and graduation to another category? What Core support should exist? How should the Unit support relate to the Core?
