Center for Detectors Space Needs 11 offices for professors, staff, post-docs 10 offices/cubicles for students >2500 sq. ft. lab space plus three workshop rooms conference room for >15 people >500 sq. ft. clean room office, lab, clean room co-located CfD-only access to all areas (ITAR)

Center for Detectors Space Needs office space –11 offices for professors, staff, post-docs Don Figer, Professor Brian Ashe, Engineer Brandon Hanold, Engineer Don Stauffer, Engineer Tom Montagliano, Engineer Joong Lee, Engineer Ben Davies, Assistant Research Scientist post-doc 1 (NSF/AAG) expansion positions are underlined post-doc 2 (NASA/PIDDP2010) professor administrative assistant

Center for Detectors Space Needs office space –10 offices/cubicles for students Christine Trombley, AST PhD John Frye, CE MS Max Bobrov, CE MS Chris Maloney, uE MS Kim Kolb, CIS MS Tom Praderio, EE MS Brian Glod, EE MS Matt Simpson, Biotech John Breese, CE MS graduate student (NSF/AAG, Google2010)

Center for Detectors Space Needs lab space –>2500 sq. ft. –will be used to execute the following programs: PIDDP2006, PIDDP2007, APRA2006, TDEM, Moore (see funding chart), likely new projects (PIDDP2010, NSF/ATI, NSF/AAG) –must be able to accommodate three collocated 8x4 feet optical tables with 3 feet of surrounding open area –3 separate small lab rooms for cryogenic compressors, dark room, assembly room –4x220V/30A outlets (120A total load), with emergency power (cost allowing) –20x110V/15A outlets (75A total load), with emergency power –compressed air service drops in all lab areas –nitrogen gas service drops in all lab areas –cool water service drops in all lab areas –keycard access for CfD personnel only due to ITAR –existing counters in all areas –existing cabinets in all areas –ability to have black-out shades on windows in one dark room –ability to connect 20 computers to network –venting for solder station –nearby area with sink

Center for Detectors Space Needs clean room –>500 sq. ft. –class 10,000 with air flow to support class 100 on flow bench –accessible chase space (~100 sq. ft.) –1x220V/30A outlets –10x110V/15A outlets (30A total load) –compressed air service –nitrogen gas service –cool water service –gowning ante-chamber –closed access for ITAR restrictions

Center for Detectors Space Needs cost estimates (total = $11,075) –$975, move two optical tables (Al’s moving services) –$500, move flow bench (Al’s moving services) –$1000, 220 Volt installation (via FMS) –$2100, three sets of 40 ft. helium hoses –$2000, keycard –$2000, network jacks/activation (might not be needed if existing jacks are already activated) –$2500, backup power ($2500 was the cost for this in the RIDL)

Center for Detectors Funding ~$1.4M is funded in FY10 and FY11, remainder is estimate.
