3 Document Formatting (9 weeks) Continuation of Keyboarding course Malleability standards applied in: – Memorandums – Business Letters – Forms (Agendas, itineraries, etc.) – Invoices – Tables – Reports

4 Document Layout & Design (9 weeks) Emphasis is on: – Production of business applications – Design and layout of business documents – Speed and accuracy Apply concepts, capabilities, procedures, and legal responsibilities of word and information processing Simulated business projects used

5 Spreadsheet Applications (9 weeks) Use of electronic worksheets – Performs business calculations Applications: – Writing formulas – Analyzing data – Charting data – Managing data

6 eBusiness Communications Students will choose appropriate tools when using the Internet for research for written and oral business communications Emphasis will be on: – Electronic research – Ethics – Business report writing – Business correspondence – Enhancement of oral presentations with electronic media

7 Administrative Management Capstone course Concepts learned: – Information processing systems – Problem solving – Team-building – Time management – Cost/budgeting – Professional leadership – Ethical and legal issues – Mathematics and communications

10 Principles of Ag Sciences Develops the basic theories and principles involved in: – Animal science – Agribusiness – Agricultural mechanics – Natural resource management

11 Advanced Principles of Ag Sciences Challenge students to plan for one of the five career clusters in agriculture Concepts taught include: – Livestock – Shop standards

12 Ag Mechanics and Maintenance Prepares students for operational procedures for a shop or home environment Learn basic skills in the following areas: – Welding – Electricity – Land measurement – Plumbing

13 Ag Power and Equipment Includes basic information and laboratory activities on: – Small engines – Tractors and agricultural equipment maintenance – Repair and overhaul Standards address: – Electrical motors – Hydraulic systems – Fuel-powered engines

14 Forestry Management Designed to develop student knowledge of forestry technology Students will develop skills in producing, harvesting, marketing, and developing forestry products and public utilization

15 Livestock Management Provides knowledge and skills needed for successful work (entry-level to management) in the livestock industry Concepts learned: – Animal nutrition – Animal systems – Reproduction and genetics – Management practices

16 Wildlife Management and Recreation Emphasizes awareness of conservation and preservation management practices Concepts learned: – Wildlife and fish identification – Management practices – knowledge of lakes, rivers, state parks, and wildlife management areas

17 Principles of Ag Engineering Concepts include: – Metal fabrication and agricultural structures – Hot/cold metal work – Cost and material computation – Electrical wiring – Engine service and repair – Blueprint reading – Drawing and selection of appropriate materials for projects
