3 The Song of Moses (Exo.15:1-21) The children of Israel had been in Egyptian bondage over 400 years God, with His mighty hand, led them out through His chosen leader Moses Israel sang praises to God because He is great and worthy to be praised--vs.6-7,11 Israel sang praises to God because He had redeemed them--vs.1,19,13

4 The Song of Deborah (Judges 5) The children of Israel had lost their trust in God, and they went into bondage God raised up Deborah to deliver Israel After their victory, Israel sang praises attributing power to God--vs.3-5 Israel rejoiced in their deliverance (redemption) provided by God--vs.21,11

5 The Song of David (2Sam.22) King Saul had disobeyed God and God no longer recognized him as king Saul became jealous of David and tried to take his life (Absalom; Philistines) David sang because God had delivered (redeemed) him--vs.1-2,18,47-50
