2 The Steps to Setup a Blog 1.Create a Blog (this is done only once, after this, login to add, or edit) 2.Login 3.Add Category(s) – name and description 4.Select a Theme 5.Add a Post or Edit existing post 6.Modify “Discussion Settings” Got to site -- http://blogs.plymouth.eduhttp://blogs.plymouth.edu See “screen-shots” on following slides.

3 GO TO THE SITE http://blogs.plymouth.eduhttp://blogs.plymouth.edu Watch the video by clicking on the “Play Button” Select “Register” to Create a New blog After this initial setup click on the Login to edit your blog or go to http://loginname.blogs. plymouth.edu Select to Create New blog

4 Visit Site – when you want to see how your changes appear on your blog site. After the initial setup, clicking on “Login” will bring you to this dashboard page. The next step is to Add a Category. Click “Categories.” This will bring you to – Use the  to go to previous pages

5 Add a Category Name, a Description and “Add Category” Next Click Posts

6 Add a new Post

7 Enter the information and add formatting and media if desired. Be sure to select the appropriate Category or the Post will go to “Uncategorized.” Then Click “Publish”

8 Click “Themes” and you’ll get a page like below. Select a Theme, A preview will be shown and then click “Preview” or “Activate”

9 Click Settings and then Discussions to allow certain customizations. See next slides.
