ŸMAIS is now responsible for all document scanning operations and related support for ImageNow/WebNow. ŸCurrent services are unchanged.

Document Imaging Services Reassigned to MAISFebruary 21, 2007 2 Reasons for Centralizing Imaging Service in MAIS ŸSince centralization of U-M imaging systems began in 2005: ŸMAIS maintained the ImageNow/WebNow infrastructure and provided Help Desk support. ŸMichigan Business Services (MBS) managed image scanning and user training. ŸConsolidating imaging services and infrastructure in MAIS: ŸAllows for centralized management of imaging services. ŸCreates potential for more holistic solutions for users of ImageNow/WebNow. ŸExtends MAIS responsibility for administrative information to electronically imaged documents as well as to the electronic data from M-Pathways and other administrative systems.

4. Document Imaging Services Reassigned to MAISFebruary 21, 2007 3 Current Status of Document Imaging Operations ŸDocument imaging staff members that reported to MBS have joined MAIS. ŸDocument scanning is performed at the same Wolverine Tower location. ŸAll imaging services continue to be available – no service disruption. ŸFinancial staff have access to account reconciliation imaged documents within M-Pathways. ŸBenefits staff have access to change documents within M-Pathways. ŸNew services and new functionality will be announced at a future UL meeting as they become available.
