I constructed a giant cell by using the students. I constructed a giant cell by using the students. They all learned the following terms: nucleus, mitochondrion, and membrane receptors. 3. I choose volunteers from the class to be the various cell parts and they had the name of them taped to their shirts. I explained to them that the cell is like a little city; that all parts talk to each other and depend on each other. The children that were left over joined hands to form a circle which became the Cell Membrane or skin of the cell. They held the cell together. When we were done I gave the children coloring sheets of an animal cell and a plant cell, which they enjoyed very much.
