2 Lewis & Clark College Academically selective Dedicated to international education –Inviting international students –250 LC students in over 10 overseas programs annually –50% of LC students participate in overseas programs

4 AES - General Information ESL program focuses on integration of skills Courses appropriate for all university students whose first language is not English –International students –US High School Graduates –Immigrants AES credits count toward graduation –Up to 24 AES credits can be counted –Summer semester-6 and 12 week sessions

5 AES--What can I learn? All courses include speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary development, listening Writing courses include library skills for preparing and writing research papers Many courses include participation in LC undergraduate courses

6 To Apply to Lewis & Clark College, Submit the Following Completed application and non- refundable fee Official school transcripts and officially translated English copies Certificate of financial responsibility Upon acceptance, L&C will send a letter of acceptance and I-20

7 L&C--Meet native speakers –You can have an American roommate –You can participate in the Friendship Family Program and Conversation Groups –L&C offers a variety of outdoors & volunteer activities for all students
