RPI NEES SITE 2D Shaker & In-flight Robot –October 29-30 has been set for meetings at RPI where two Review Panels will discuss the bids for both the 2D-Shaker and In-Flight Robot and will meet with prospective contractors –Final contracts should be signed before the end of December, 2001 Web-Based Data Acquisition –National Instruments (NI) hardware and software will be used –A small scale NI Data Acquisition system is scheduled for testing under high g levels (50g to 150g) in RPI’s centrifuge for final approval before end of October, 2001

Questions for SI What are the SI deliverables and what is the schedule for delivering it to the NEES sites? What is the NEESpop? Who is responsible for the integration of the NEESpop at the NEES site? Who is paying for the NEESpop and its integration? What are the recommended operating system: Unix, Lunix and/or MS? As a NEES site, What does the SI team expect from us? What are the SI criteria for selecting early adopter sites? (similar applications, site willingness, cover NEES spectrum, availability of high performance LAN at the site, etc.)
