1 RFA 18 – Automation of Operations Software Specific Request –Specify plans and requirements for automation of operations software, and describe the software design for how the automation needs will be met Response –Level 3 requirements for autonomous operation have been specified (LAT-SS-0021-8) and these have been mapped to software elements. –The attached viewgraphs and description below outline the primary software components and data flows for autonomous operation of the ISOC. –Outline of ISOC Autonomous Operation: GINO (being developed by the SAS) retrieves input files from MOC as they become available, archives the data, and –sends level 0 science telemetry to the science data analysis pipeline –sends level 0 housekeeping data to ITOS ITOS converts the housekeeping data to EUs and monitors it for yellow and red limits Trending software monitors HK data trends and logs messages for anomalies detected Processes in the science data analysis pipeline monitor science data for subsystem (e.g. ACD, TKR, CAL) and system (event) level anomalies and logs these. ITOS and processes in the data analysis pipeline automatically generate reports, logs and data products which can be accessed by staff via the web The Anomaly Tracking and Notification System (ATNS) examines logs generated by ITOS, trending software and the science data analysis pipeline. ATNS notifies appropriate staff of the problem so that they may take action. If the notified staff do not respond to a significant anomaly, it is escalated and other staff automatically notified. GINO sends data products to the GSSC as these are generated by the science data analysis pipeline.
