4 SWE = 1/A [ ln(Co/C) - ln((100 + 1.11 M)/(100 + 1.11 Mo))] (in units of g cm-2) Where: C and Co = Uncollided terrestrial gamma count rates cover snow and bare ground, respectively M and Mo = Percent soil moisture over snow and bare ground, respectively A = Radiation attenuation coefficient in water (cm2 g-1)
