The EET program is accredited by the TAC branch of ABET and has been since 1967. The FAA has reviewed the EET and ELM programs and designated Vermont Tech as a “Priority school for hiring”. ABET, Inc., the recognized accreditor for college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering, and technology, is a federation of 30 professional and technical societies representing these fields. Among the most respected accreditation organizations in the U.S., ABET has provided leadership and quality assurance in higher education for over 70 years. What this means is as a graduate you will have priority status for all jobs with the FAA.  There is also an internship program available where students can work on electronics engineering at local airports.
