7 7 Looking Forward Single Laptop Program –Update aging desktop/laptop Hardware –Reduce costs: Desktop, laptop, remote desktop server hardware –Initial tests show some software will not run on Windows 7 so we are looking at minimal updates to tide us over while working on TM NG –Upgrade to a modern, more secure operating system and configuration –Reduce “Baseline” configurations and further lock down administrative rights Data.gov and Google eLearning Public Search Facility reduction of hours
