3 We had two presentations on two related, basic topics by Hillas and Ptuskin. The goal in both was to exhibit the basic simplicity and generality of the results. –Hillas: the power input into galactic C.R. –Ptuskin: The anisotropy determined from observations of grammage and basic galactic parameters. We also added to our shopping list of simple problems. 2 nd – day report

17 Comments Simplest solution is to have two components, galactic and extra-galactic –Generally, A and B are different populations of galactic sources KASCADE “preliminary” result has been very influential this week – showing a “Peter’s Cycle” structure of the knee.
