6 ©2004 Reactive Systems Inc. Bio Rance Cleaveland is the CEO of Reactive Systems, Inc., and professor of Computer Science at SUNY at Stony Brook. He has published extensively in the areas software modeling and validation, including model checking algorithms and tools, temporal logic, process algebra, software architecture, and semantics of modeling languages. Cleveland is the recipient of a National Young Investigator Award from the National Science Foundation and a Young Investigator Award from the Office of Naval Research. He received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from Cornell University and a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Duke University.
