6 B O S T O N C O L L E G E C A R E E R C E N T E R Recruiting Program One of the BC Career Center ’ s many services Our primary goal is to coordinate on-campus interviewing through the use of EagleLink. We also coordinate employer information sessions, corporate presentations, and some off-campus r é sum é referrals. To participate in the Recruiting Program you must: 1. Complete this PowerPoint presentation 2. Complete/update your profile in EagleLink 3. Abide by the Campus Recruiting AgreementCampus Recruiting Agreement

8 B O S T O N C O L L E G E C A R E E R C E N T E R Using EagleLink After logging in, you ’ ll be redirected to your EagleLink homepage, which contains a Navigation Toolbar, Quick Links, and Alerts.

9 B O S T O N C O L L E G E C A R E E R C E N T E R Uploading Documents Select Documents from the navigation toolbar at the top of the page.

10 B O S T O N C O L L E G E C A R E E R C E N T E R Uploading Documents Click Add New to enter a new document. Use a previously created and saved document to complete this process.

11 B O S T O N C O L L E G E C A R E E R C E N T E R Uploading Documents Insert a label (i.e. “ Marc LaRosee R é sum é” ) for your document. Remember to name your document appropriately. Click Browse to search for a r é sum é on your hard drive, disk, or flash drive.

12 B O S T O N C O L L E G E C A R E E R C E N T E R Uploading Documents Click Submit. The file upload may take several minutes to complete, so don ’ t close your browser. Once the conversion is completed, you will be able to preview your document by clicking on its title.

13 B O S T O N C O L L E G E C A R E E R C E N T E R Searching for OCR Jobs On the top navigation bar, click BC Jobs/Internships. Then click BC Jobs/Internships. Here, you are able to search for all Boston College-related jobs.

14 B O S T O N C O L L E G E C A R E E R C E N T E R Searching for OCR Jobs Click All BC Jobs & Interviews under Show Me. Select your desired Position Type and Industry. To maximize you research results, leave all search options open. Then click Search.

15 B O S T O N C O L L E G E C A R E E R C E N T E R Applying for Jobs Click on the Job Title to view details about the position, interviews, and requirements for submission. Apply by selecting your r é sum é from the drop-down menu and clicking Submit. The deadline may be found under Schedule Details.

16 B O S T O N C O L L E G E C A R E E R C E N T E R Application History Click on OCR Interviews in the navigation toolbar. Click on Scheduled Interviews to view positions for which you have been selected to interview or Interview Requests to view your interview status. Your application status is found under each position. This will let you know the status of all applications.

17 B O S T O N C O L L E G E C A R E E R C E N T E R Interviews If selected for an interview, you’ll receive an e-mail about your status as a preselect candidate or alternate in addition to sign-up dates. You’ll also be notified under the Home link of the navigation toolbar, under Alerts.

18 B O S T O N C O L L E G E C A R E E R C E N T E R Interview Candidates Preselected interview candidates can begin signing up for interviews 6 days prior to the interview date, starting at 8:00 am. Alternate interview candidates can begin signing up for interviews 3 days prior to the interview date, starting at 8:00 am, pending there are any open interview slots. The dates for sign up can be found on each position listed under the Schedule Details.

19 B O S T O N C O L L E G E C A R E E R C E N T E R Interview Sign-Up To sign up for interviews while logged in to your account: Click on the OCR Interviews tab. Click on the Interview Requests tab to view positions for which you have been selected to interview. Click Schedule Interview to sign up for an interview time on the employer ’ s on-campus date.

20 B O S T O N C O L L E G E C A R E E R C E N T E R Interview Times Select a time slot by clicking on the button to the left of your desired interview time. Click Submit. You will receive a confirmation e-mail. TIP: Send thank-you notes after your interviews!

21 B O S T O N C O L L E G E C A R E E R C E N T E R Employer Presentations For a detailed list, refer to Information Sessions under Events. We strongly urge you to attend all presentations in which you have an interest. If an organization you are interviewing with hosts an Information Session, Corporate Presentation or Pre-Interview Session, it is mandatory for you to attend.

22 B O S T O N C O L L E G E C A R E E R C E N T E R Declining Interviews or Attendance at Presentations If you are unable to attend an Pre-Interview Information Session, send an email to the contact person informing him/her of your situation. This will prevent you from being listed as a “ no show. ” If you must decline an interview due to a schedule conflict, second round interview with another employer, or if you ’ ve been offered a job or internship, send an email to the contact person informing him/her of your particular situation. Please copy student.recruiting@bc.edu on your message so we have a record of your communication. This will allow an alternate candidate the opportunity to schedule an interview time slot in your place.student.recruiting@bc.edu

23 B O S T O N C O L L E G E C A R E E R C E N T E R Recruiting Policies Failure to abide by the Campus Recruiting Agreement may result in the suspension of campus recruiting services provided by the Career Center Recruiting Program office.Campus Recruiting Agreement Employers also have policies to follow especially as they relate to job/internship offers. We don ’ t want employers putting undue pressure on interview candidates to accept their employment offers. Please review the Employer Recruiting Policy to identify the specific deadline which relates to your particular situation.Employer Recruiting Policy
