6 Click on the “Users” tab.

7 Click on “ Add New Users.”

8 Create a Username and Password for each student. Hint: Make it similar to other logins students currently have. (i.e. Username: firstnamelastname, password: test) Set “Role” to student. Click “Add New User” to add student to your class blog. Fill out. Click when done. Set to “student” Repeat for each student.

9 You can view your class list of users by clicking on the “All Users” tab. Here you can edit or delete any users. Scroll over student name to edit username/password OR to remove the student.

11 Use the “New Post” tab to create all new posts that will be shared with your class when they log in.

13 Once you have added the subject and the student topic for response, click on the “Publish” button. If you are not ready to publish (or would like to publish at a later date) click the “Save as Draft” button. To preview post before publishing click the “Preview” button.

15 Students type in website (or teacher can save it to tabs). Student sign in using their username and password. Note: We have provided a template for student username and password cards. Feel free to use it! Listed under “Resources & Handouts” at blogintheclassroom.wikispaces.com

16 Step 2: Finding Teachers’ Post Student click on the blog that you would like them to respond to. Blog names will be the first thing shown to the students.

17 Students read the prompt posted by the teacher. Students leave their response in the comment box (student may need to scroll down depending on the length of the teacher post). Students click “Submit Comment” to post comment. Box to leave student response. Click here to submit

18 To edit posted comments simply click, “Edit” under the posted comment. When student is finished editing the comment click, “Update Comment.”
