Children: Oceanid Nymphs, 3000 rivers, Seas A serpent-like being that encircles the Earth. Replaced by the god Poseidon came to power as the god of the oceans, rivers, and water. He was the only titan that was not against Zeus in the war.

He rides the waves on horses and sea monsters When he blew the shell trumpet violently the waves would be stirred up. Gentle blowing would calm the waves Body of a man with the tail of a fish

Dwelt in brooks, rivers, springs, fountains, lakes, ponds and wells The body of water dwelt by a nymph was thought to have inspirational, medicinal or prophetic powers Love affairs with gods and mortals
