2 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

3 The Greatest Leader of all time: Jesus Christ

4 Jesus Christ is the only role model in the Christian life.

5 Jesus Christ is the only role model in the Christian life. The only way you can learn from Him is to know Him as depicted in the Word of God.

6 The Lord Jesus Christ said to every believer: “follow Me.” Mat 4:19, Mark 2:14, Luke 5:27, John 1:43.

7 The Apostle Paul said “Imitate me.” 1 Cor 4:16.

8 What did they mean?

9 What did they mean? 1) Priesthood - Your personal relationship with God coupled with your demonstration to others of who He is, 1 Peter 2:9; and

10 What did they mean? 2) Ambassadorship - You representing your leader to a foreign peoples. 2 Cor 5:20; Eph 6:20

11 Jesus Christ cannot be your role model apart from your consistent intake and application of Bible doctrine.

12 With Jesus Christ being your role model you must look into the things He did and said in order to understand the model He left for you. Heb 12:2

13 Jesus Christ was a leader for the purpose of:

14 Jesus Christ was a leader for the purpose of: 1) Salvation of the world,

15 Jesus Christ was a leader for the purpose of: 1) Salvation of the world, 2) Dissemination of the Word, and

16 Jesus Christ was a leader for the purpose of: 1) Salvation of the world, 2) Dissemination of the Word, and 3) Enabler for spiritual growth.

17 He left us this model so we could emulate it.

18 He left us this model so we could emulate it. To be the Leader that God has called you to be, you must know His Word. John 1:1

19 We all have the responsibility of being a Priest and an Ambassador just as our lead role model did.

20 How did Jesus become the Leader He was?

22 Phase one of preparation for leadership - Gain Knowledge. Luke 2:39-52

23 Phase two of preparation for leadership - Indwelling and filling of God the Holy Spirit. Mat 4:1; Luke 4:1

24 Leadership Principle - LEADERS MUST BE LED!

26 Led by What? The Word and Spirit. John 7:17; Phil 2:5,13

27 John 7:17 If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching.

28 Phil 2:13 For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

29 Phase three of preparation for leadership - Basic Training.

30 You can't be an effective leader until you have tried out the muscle you have developed and weaponry you have been given. Eph 6:10-20; Mat 4:2-11

31 Now you're ready for Leadership, (i.e. effectively working in your Priesthood and Ambassadorship).

32 Our Lord's Priesthood.

33 Our Lord's Priesthood. Jesus Christ was a Priest in the order of Melchizedek. Heb 7:1-3

34 Gen 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; now he was a priest of God Most High.

35 Heb 6:20 where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

36 In fulfilling His Priesthood He presented Himself before God and reflected the character and nature of God to Man.

37 Our Lord fulfilled His Priesthood and Ambassadorship like no one else. He is the Greatest Leader of all time!!!!
