Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 3 Acts 2:22-23 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. These people killed the Son of God. They are sinners! Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? These people realized they were sinners and were without hope. Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins Christ’s Crucifiers

4 Philippian Jailer Acts 16:19...and they caught Paul and Silas Acts 16:23-24 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely: Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks. This man puts Christians into prison. He is a sinner! Acts 16:25-28 Paul and Silas pray and sing praises to God. Then there is an earthquake causing the prison doors to open and all of the prisoners’ bands are loosed. The jailer is going to kill himself because he assumes the prisoners are gone but Paul stops him. Acts 16:30 Sirs, what must I do to be saved? This man realizes he is a sinner and is without hope. Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Acts 16:33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his straightway.

5 Saul of Tarsus Acts 7:58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul. Acts 8:1 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem Acts 8:3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison. Acts 9:1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, Saul of Tarsus persecutes Christians. He is a sinner! Acts 9:3-6 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? Saul realizes he is a sinner and is without hope. Acts 9:6 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. Acts 9:18 Saul is baptized

Acts 2 Jewish nation crucifies the Son of God They are sinners They realize they are sinners without hope They are baptized for forgiveness of their sins. They receive hope.

7 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father; even so we also should walk in newness of life.

8 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Corinthians 15:1-2 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved
