4 What is Army ROTC ? MS I Freshman MS IV Senior MS III Junior MS II Sophomore Provides opportunity for college nursing students to receive practical, hands on leadership experience. Leaders Training Course Leaders Development Accessions Course & Nurse Summer Training Program

5 Advanced and Basic Camp FLeadership Training Course FNational Advanced Leadership Camp FNot “boot camp” FEvaluation of Leadership and Basic Military Skills FReceive Pay for 35 days during summer months

6 Nurse Summer Training Program

7 FSummer between Junior and Senior year FAfter LDAC FThree-week, 120 hour clinical rotation in an Army Hospital FCadet is one-on-one with an Army Nurse preceptor/instructor FCadet receives pay. Army pays for meals and transportation expenses

8 After Graduation FCommissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps FMust take and pass NCLEX within 60 days FAttend Officer Basic Course FFirst duty assignment Fbased on your input, your school and ROTC record and the needs of the Army F95% receive one of top 3 choices

9 Continuing Education FAfter one year of service you may apply to attend a clinical specialty course: FPerioperative Nursing FCritical Care Nursing FPsychiatric/Mental Health FObstetrics and Gynecology

10 Continuing Education FOnce you obtain career status you may also apply for selection to graduate degree programs: FAnesthesia Nursing FHealth Care Administration FFamily Nurse Practitioner FOthers

11 Non-Scholarship Students FReceives stipend of $300-$500 per month FCan elect to become Simultaneous Member with the Army National Guard or Army Reserve to receive additional financial benefits

12 Scholarship Students F2, 3, and 4-year scholarships available FTuition or room and board: up to $19,000 per year FBooks: $900 per year FMandatory Fees FStipend FSchool Incentives

13 Criteria For Scholarship FUS Citizen FEnroll in an accredited BSN program FMinimum GPA 2.8 FMinimum SAT 1050/ ACT 21 FPhysically fit and medically qualified FUnder 31 years of age on 30 June of graduation year FGood moral character
