5 Robots & Robotics Robot –Karel Cepek, a Czechoslovakian playwright, used the word “Robot” for the first time in his play called R.U.R. - Rossum’s Universal Robot in 1921. –Robota means worker in Czech language. Robotics –The word “Robotics” was introduced by Isaac Asimov to describe the science of dealing with robotics. –Three laws of Robotics, a well known robotics law by Isaac Asimov.
