7. So, what is SEAL? Secondary SEAL is a comprehensive approach to promoting the social and emotional skills that underpin effective learning, positive behaviour, regular attendance and the emotional health and well-being of all who work and learn in schools. (Secondary Core Guidance)

9. How will SEAL work? It proposes that the skills will be most effectively developed by pupils and enhance the skills of staff through: Using a whole school approach to create the climate and conditions that promote these skills Direct and focused learning opportunities Using that support pupils to learn and learning and teaching approaches consolidate Continuing professional development for the whole staff of a school
