14. Take-Away Lessons Work early, work often Carefully consider horizontal vs. vertical development. We were caught up in implementing many things that were not HFID related, while the interesting HFID concepts fell to the wayside. Users have difficulty portraying what they really want, and even if we know what we are talking about, make sure the users do too. Be careful about choosing your prototyping tool.
