3 St. Ivan Island St. Ivan Island is the largest Bulgarian island in the Black Sea, with an area of 0,66 km². It lies off the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast near Sozopol and is separated by a strait a couple of meters long from the small St. Peter Island. Apart from its historical significance, the island is also a nature reserve, with 72 species of birds nesting on the rocks and around the coast, 3 of which are endangered in the world and 15 in Europe. St. Ivan Island is also inhabited by other rare species, such as monk seals. The rocks on the island are covered with black mussels.

4 St. Ivan Island is famous for the 12th-14th century St. Ivan Monastery. Its church is situated on the southern side of the island, which carries the name of the monastery. The church was built in 1263. There is also a lighthouse constructed by French engineers in 1884 and pointing to the Burgas Bay still preserved on the island. The lighthouse Ruins

5 St. Anastasia Island St. Anastasia Island (formerly called Bolshevik Island) is a Bulgarian islet in the Black Sea. It is located 1.5 km off the coast near Chernomorets and embraces a territory of 0.022 km². It is the only inhabited island of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. The island is supplied with electricity and drinking water. It is named after the former St. Anastasia convent located on it, which is abandoned since 1923, when the island was transformed into a prison. Today, there is a lighthouse situated on the island, as well as a pub, a small quay and several buildings to accommodate tourists.

6 St. Cyricus Island St. Cyricus Island is a Bulgarian island in the Black Sea, situated a quarter of a mile from Sozopol. It has an area of about 7,000 m². In 1925, a school for fishermen and sailors was built on the island, where only orphans were allowed to study. The school existed only for about 10 years, as in 1936 its base was reorganized to accommodate the Bulgaria Naval Academy. Until recently, the island was a restricted area, where Bulgarian Navy ships were anchored, but it was to be demilitarized in 2005.

7 Headland Kaliakra Kaliakra is a long and narrow headland in the Southern Dobruja region of the northern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, located 12 km east of Kavarna and 60 km northeast of Varna. The coast is steep with vertical cliffs reaching 70 m down to the sea.

8 Golden Sands is a resort town on the northern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, adjacent to a national park in the municipality of Varna. It is a popular tourist destination, drawing many visitors from Germany, the United Kingdom, Russia, Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe, Israel, and other countries, attracted by the favourable climate, scenic landscape, and reasonable prices. 9 The area is labelled to have the purest quartz sand on the coast and abounds in old trees and landscaped parks. Hot mineral water springs and woodlands cascading from the Frangen Plateau, forming the Zlatni Pyasatsi Nature Park, turn Golden Sands into one of the most popular tourist spots in Eastern Europe. It also comprises the Holiday Club Riviera luxury resort and the Chaika villa community, with the historic landmark Aladzha Monastery in its vicinity.

11 SUNNY BEACH There are also many restaurants and numerous live music bars, pubs, nightclubs, discos, cafes. It has been undergoing continuous expansion for many years. In recent years almost the whole hotel base has been renovated and several new luxurious hotels have been built as well as many spectacular apartment complexes. It is the biggest and most popular holiday resort of the country, and is home to over 130 hotels. There are also many restaurants and numerous live music bars, pubs, nightclubs, discos, cafes. It has been undergoing continuous expansion for many years. In recent years almost the whole hotel base has been renovated and several new luxurious hotels have been built as well as many spectacular apartment complexes..
