2 Nonparametric Statistics Many of the nonparametric statistical tests answer the same sorts of questions as the parametric tests. With nonparametric tests the assumptions can be relaxed considerably. Consequently, nonparametric methods are used for situations that violate the assumptions of parametric procedures.
