EUSO: Extreme Universe Space Observatory Jessica Cerny Bancroft-Rosalie School

Collaborators Involved The researchers collaborating in EUSO are 30 groups from France, Italy, Portugal, Japan, Germany, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

Location The International Space Station

Goals of the Experiment The exploration of the highest energy processes occurring in the universe and its accessible boundaries. The investigation of cosmic rays and neutrinos of extreme energy by looking at the streak of fluorescence light produced when the particles interact with the Earth's atmosphere. Observing light signals by looking down at the Earth’s atmosphere from space.

Experimental Detectors and Equipment EUSO Main Telescope consisting of three main parts: optics, focal surface detector, and trigger and electronics systems

Experimental Detectors and Equipment II EUSO will detect the highest-energy cosmic rays known by using the entire Earth as a particle detector.

Status of the Experiment EUSO is under study by the European Space Agency (ESA) for flight on the Columbus module of the ISS.

Conclusion Collaborators Involved Location of the Experiment Goals of the Experiment Experimental Detectors Status of the Experiment
