2. 2 Story Boards Story Boards analyse problems and suggest solutions They help people move from story telling to problem solving and goal-setting They help in planning future plans and activities for the group

3. 3 Story Boards The story board technique involves asking participants to prepare six panels, using drawing, or collages of pictures. The issues to be covered in the story boards can come from the story telling, or from human rights training, or from any other source that is meaningful for the participants.

4. 4 Story Boards The six panels present 6 stages of a process of analysis and you need to decide before the exercise what the stages are. This can be done either by the facilitator or with the participants. The six stages MUST take participants through from describing a problem or issue to be worked on, to a solution and an outcome.

5. 5 Story Boards Panel 1 – What is the issue or problem? Panel 2 – what is the effect of the problem on the women and community involved? Panel 3 – What has caused this problem Panel 4 - What can be done to solve the problem and improve the lives of the people affected Panel 5 – Who should be involved in this – what can they do, what is needed Panel 6 – What will be the outcome if this happens?

6. 6 Story Boards The feedback and analysis is the same as for the story boards The outcomes of the story boards should form the basis of the next stage of your project
