All schools | Disadvantaged pupils (pupil premium) Organisational Intelligence & Commissioning Delivery Overview of 2014 educational attainment in Essex The gap at KS2 between disadvantaged pupils and others has decreased faster in Essex than nationally. Non-disadvantaged pupils improved at the same rate as their peers nationally, but disadvantaged pupils had double the national improvement rate. The gap at KS4 also fell faster in Essex than nationally, and was smaller in 2014. The changes to KS4 in 2014 make trends harder to evaluate, but disadvantaged pupils were less affected by them than their peers, resulting in a large decrease in the gap which is now lower than national.
