Setting the Stage Four Methods of Implementing Sub Connect, set level and play Calibrate Sub Only – Multi channel Calibrate Sub and Measure Mains – Multi-channel or Two channel Calibrate Sub, Calibrate Left and Right – for 2 channel systems Note – all methods are manual calibrations

5 Tools you need PC or Mac iOS Device Optional (recommended)
With USB Port Wireless Network Download Revel LFO from Revel Website iOS Device iPad or iPhone iOS 6 or later – may use internal mic Older units must use external Microphone Download AudioTools, Andrew Smith from App Store (Studio Six Digital) Optional (recommended)

6 Revel LFO Software on www.revelspeakers.com
LFO Programming Software includes.. Low Frequency Optimizer Software Manual Target Curve Test Noise

7 Three Steps Calibration Overview
Set AV Processor Configuration and Set Levels Take Measurements with Audio Tools via IOS Device Use LFO software on laptop to Set EQ, Delay and level controls Step 3 Step 2

8 Connect up to four subwoofers
Out to #2 From Processor Out to 3 Out to #4 Or From Processor

9 Configure HT Surround Processor
Configure Speaker Settings - Set Levels Set Distance (delay) to all speakers Use 80 Hz crossover Set Mains to 75dB Set sub or subs to 80dB Use C Weighting , Slow Response

10 Take Measurement using Audio Tools
Play Downloaded Test Pink Noise With Xover of processor engaged and only subs active Begin Measurement Pause every 15 secs and measure 5 locations Stop, Name, Store then Export measurement We recommend outboard Test Mics

11 Connect to sub #1 - Open Systems Tab
Open LFO Connect to sub #1 - Open Systems Tab Set Crossover to Flat Set Delay Units

12 Set Subwoofer Delay in Subwoofer Tab
Set Delay by Measurement to listening position in Inches

13 Connect LFO Software to Amplifier (Sub)
Press to Connect to Subwoofer

14 Import Target Curve

15 Import Target Curve File – Import Curve, Browse to Default LFO Target Curve

16 Import Target Curve

17 Import Measurement from IOS Device

18 Measurement Imported

19 Adjust Subwoofer Response Curve to overlay Target
Lower measured response here

20 Adjust Plot control to better view peaks and dips

21 Use Parametric EQ Filters – 1 Filter
First Filter Used

22 Two Filters

23 8 Filters Later Measured Response now follows Target Curve

24 SAVE to Amplifier

25 Filters Downloaded Represents Filters used on EQ Measured Response Curve 8 Parametric filters adjusted

26 When you are almost done
Check Levels Listen Save Files to disc Congratulations you have completed!!

27 Review Overall Process Set Up AVR Level Measure LF Room Response
