Last thing today: Development of Poor Law up to 1900.

Investigations into the problem and legislation passed - analysing effectiveness. 1848 Public Health Act and the 1875 Public Health Act. Why was there opposition to Public Health Legislation? Persistent problems: disease; housing; pollution (Human and Industrial effluents); water and food. Analysis: How had Public Health changed 1815-75?
