7 Preliminary Design Review Tucson, Arizona August 29 th – September 2 nd, 2011 CFHT Data − ~19,000 MegaCam images – 23 May 2003 to 16 Feb 2008 − 36 two amp CCDs in rectangular grid − 1deg x 1deg fov − u*,g,r,i,z filters (note the u* is broader than the LSST u) − Bias Frames − Flat Frames − Fringe Frames for i and z images.

8 Preliminary Design Review Tucson, Arizona August 29 th – September 2 nd, 2011 Camera and Electronics Model − Focal plane layout – 189 imaging chips: 2000x2072 pix – 4 wavefront sensors – 21 3x3 rafts − Electronic design – 8x2 Amps per chip – 509x1000 pix per amp

9 Preliminary Design Review Tucson, Arizona August 29 th – September 2 nd, 2011 Calibration Products − 10 realizations with 2 exposures per realization − Reduced using DM stack to produce master calibration frames. − Bias frames – zero length exposures − Dark frames – 180 sec exposures with shutter closed − Per filter flats – Analytic fit to vignetting function sampled to place photons.
